MG’s EV range uses SAIC-developed electric platforms and battery packs supplied or industrialised through SAIC and major Chinese cell partners such as CATL. Chemistry varies by model and market, with LFP packs used for lower-cost versions and NMC packs used where higher performance or energy density is required.
