L’histoire

AITO is a China-market smart EV and range-extender brand developed through the Seres and Huawei partnership. Seres provides vehicle manufacturing and engineering, while Huawei contributes the HarmonyOS cockpit, intelligent driving systems and retail ecosystem. The range is built around premium SUVs such as the M5, M7, M8 and M9, mostly focused on China rather than Europe.

À savoir
AITO is closely linked with Huawei's in-car software ecosystem rather than being a conventional standalone car brand.
Many AITO versions are range-extender EVs, designed to drive electrically while using a petrol engine as a generator.
The brand's Chinese name is often associated with the 'Wenjie' model family sold through Huawei channels.

Avis sans détour
Points forts
  • +Strong Huawei software and smart-cockpit integration
  • +Broad SUV lineup from compact to flagship segments
  • +Extended-range variants reduce range anxiety in China
  • +Competitive feature density for large premium SUVs
À surveiller
  • Very limited official presence outside China
  • Service and parts support in Europe is uncertain
  • Some data differs by China-market trim and model year
  • EREV efficiency and electric-only range depend heavily on use case
ADN batterie & plateforme

AITO models use high-capacity traction batteries supplied mainly by CATL, with a mix of LFP and NMC chemistries depending on model and variant. The lineup includes both BEV versions and extended-range electric vehicles, so battery capacity, charging behaviour and real electric-only range vary strongly between versions.

Verdict EVRadar

AITO is a serious China-market smart-SUV player rather than a simple export EV brand. Its appeal is strongest where Huawei's ecosystem and service network are available; outside China, data, warranty and service uncertainty remain the main risks.
