Die Geschichte

Škoda traces its roots to the bicycle workshop founded by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement in Mladá Boleslav in 1895. The company moved from bicycles to motorcycles and then to the Voiturette A automobile in 1905. After merging with the Škoda industrial group in 1925 and joining the Volkswagen Group in 1991, the brand developed into a major European manufacturer focused on practical, spacious and value-led cars.

Batterie- & Plattform-DNA

Škoda's modern electric range is built mainly around Volkswagen Group electric architectures. The Enyaq and Elroq use modular MEB battery packs with active thermal management and navigation-assisted preconditioning. The smaller Epiq introduces the front-wheel-drive MEB+ platform with LFP and NMC battery options. Škoda covers high-voltage batteries for eight years or 160,000 km and guarantees at least 70% capacity during that term.

EVRadar-Fazit

Škoda's electric cars are among the most practical Volkswagen Group EVs, combining useful space, familiar service support and increasingly strong charging performance. Exact model year and variant remain critical when comparing specifications.
