UK EV Registrations Hit Nearly 30% Market Share in June
UK battery-electric vehicle registrations jumped 38% year-on-year in June, reaching 64,440 units and taking nearly 30% of the new-car market. Total UK new-car registrations rose 15% to 215,921 units. Tesla registered 12,403 BEVs in June, up 42% year-on-year, while BYD registered 2,999 units, up 9%. Year-to-date, BEVs now account for 24.9% of UK new-car registrations, still below the country’s 33% target.
