How the EVRadar score works
Every car carries a 0–100 EVRadar score and six skill ratings. It's a decision aid, not a verdict — and it's completely transparent. Here's exactly how it's built.
The six skills
The overall is a weighted average of these. Weights sum to 100%.
Real winter range (falls back to summer). Cold-weather range is what actually matters, so it leads.
Range per 1 000 zł of starting price — how much usable car you get for the money.
Real km recovered in a 15-minute DC stop — the number that decides how long road trips take.
kWh per 100 km. Lower is better, so it's ranked inverted — economical cars score high.
Power-to-0–100 ratio (hp ÷ acceleration time).
A 0–100 tally: 800V platform, heat pump, V2L, and an 8-year+ battery warranty.
Our rules
The principles that keep it honest.
Only real data
Every skill is a pure function of a spec already in the database. Nothing is hand-tuned or editorialised, and no number is invented to fill a gap.
Normalised to the fleet
Each metric is a percentile rank across the whole published fleet, so a median car lands near 50 and the scale always spans the real range of what's on sale.
Missing data scores null, not zero
If a car is missing an input, that skill is n/a and the overall is re-weighted over what's present — a blank never drags a car down as if it were bad.
Same maths for everyone
There is no paid placement and no per-brand adjustment. The identical formula runs on every car in the catalogue.
How to read a percentile
A skill score of 70 means the car beats about 70% of the fleet on that metric. It's a position among peers, not an absolute grade — so scores stay meaningful as the catalogue grows.
