Battery health: what data should owners log every month?

For battery health tracking, what should owners log monthly?

I am thinking: odometer, displayed range at 100%, battery percentage, outside temperature, AC/DC energy split if available, and any BMS recalibration events.

Anything else useful without needing dealer tools?

Add charging habits if you can: typical daily upper limit, how often the car sits above 90%, and rough fast-charge frequency. These explain degradation better than one range number.

Displayed range is useful only if the same driving profile is used.

If the car exposes usable kWh from a full charge test, that is better than range. But do it rarely and safely. A normal monthly log should not force people to deep-cycle the pack.

Makes sense. I will keep a simple spreadsheet and avoid turning the car into a science project. Monthly consistency is probably more valuable than one perfect test.
