Electrician says I can install either 11 kW three-phase or 7.4 kW single-phase. Price difference is not huge, but the 11 kW setup needs more paperwork with the building admin.
Car will usually charge overnight. Is 11 kW worth the extra effort?

For one car, 7.4 kW is enough for almost everyone. The case for 11 kW is flexibility: arriving late with 15%, leaving early, or adding a second EV later.
If three-phase is available and safe, I would do it once and forget about it.
Check your car too. Some imports only have single-phase onboard chargers in certain trims. A three-phase wallbox will not magically make those cars charge at 11 kW.
Good catch. The car supports 11 kW AC, so I will push for three-phase and dynamic load balancing. Better to solve it before solar goes on the roof.
